Oil on canvas
30" x 60"
Signed Ed Mell, lower right
This painting has the original wood Collier Frame with Ed Mell engraved on the frame.
This painting is very indicative of the way clouds quickly move across the Arizona sky before a monsoon storm fills the sky with sheets of rain quickly absorbed by the dry landscape. Mell’s clouds are very distinctive and this painting illustrates his use of the geometric shapes to capture a scene.
